Nanango RSL Sub-Branch – which took over the running of the Nanango RSL Club in May last year – has received a $54,511 grant from the Federal Government to upgrade its kitchen facilities.

Member for Maranoa David Littleproud announced the grant on Friday.

The funding will come from the Federal Government’s Veteran and Community Grants program.

Mr Littleproud said the Nanango Sub-Branch would also receive $1173 to expand their support services for veterans and their families.

This funding is from the Building Excellence in Support and Training (BEST) program.

Blackbutt and Yarraman sub-branches are also receiving funding under the BEST program: $2425 for Blackbutt and $1975 for Yarraman.

“Our community organisations, ex-service organisations and other local veteran groups provide valuable services and support to veterans and their families, and this funding will help them to further improve these services,” Mr Littleproud said.
