Four people were injured when two vehicles collided on the New England Highway, south of Cooyar, on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services – including critical care paramedics – were called to the incident near Thornville about 1:20pm.
The collision blocked the highway for almost two hours.
Two people were transported to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition: a man with head injuries and a woman with head, neck and potential spinal injuries.
Another man and woman were transported to Toowoomba Hospital with minor injuries.
