Three people suffered minor burns when a shed caught on fire at Woolooga on Tuesday night.

Emergency services were called to the fire in Homestead Road about 7:30pm.

QAS paramedics assessed three people at the scene but they did not require transport to hospital.

A QFES spokesperson said the shed was engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived.

Initial reports suggested a truck carrying hay and a caravan were inside the shed.

Four urban fire crews plus rural volunteers from Woolooga and Gympie attended the blaze.

Firefighters worked to contain the fire to the collapsing shed, successfully preventing the flames spreading to neighbouring buildings and farmland.

The fire was under control by 9:45pm but fire crews remained on scene overnight monitoring the incident.

They were planning to bring in heavy machinery on Wednesday morning to pull apart still-smouldering bales to fully extinguish the fire.

Police and fire investigators have also been called to determine the cause of the blaze.
