Detectives have identified a third person of interest in relation to the homicide investigation into the shooting of a 22-year-old man at Amamoor last week.

Trent Edward Dyhrberg, 33, is described as Caucasian, 182cm tall, of muscular build with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police are also continuing to search for 32-year-old Nathan John Caulfield, who is described Caucasian, about 180cm tall who was last seen wearing a dark shirt and long tracksuit pants.

Detectives believe Caulfield may be armed.

He was last seen travelling in a silver Ford Falcon utility with Queensland registration 268-ZOW.

Michael Zanco, 22, was shot in the head at a Frayne Road property in Amamoor on Thursday evening.

He died in hospital on Friday night.

A police spokesperson said anyone who sees the men, or the vehicle, should not approach them but should contact police immediately.

Anyone who may have dashcam vision from Thursday night between 5:00pm and 8:00pm on Mary Valley Road between Amamoor and Gympie is also urged to contact police.

Investigations into Mr Zanco’s death have led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man who has been charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted robbery.

Kalabe John Steven Saurine appeared in Gympie Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

He did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody.

UPDATE: Police have charged a second man following investigations into the shooting death. Members of the public sighted a person of interest at Gympie Hospital on Tuesday afternoon seeking treatment and contacted police. Police attended the hospital and took the man into custody without incident. He has been charged with murder and attempted armed robbery and will face Gympie Magistrates Court on Wednesday (March 18).

UPDATE March 19: Police have charged a 28-year-old Monkland woman with accessory after the fact to murder. She was due to appear in Gympie Magistrates Court on Thursday.

UPDATE March 20: Four people will now face charges in relation to Mr Zanco’s death after police located a third man they had been seeking.
