The Cherbourg Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) is now on “Alert” status in the wake of COVID-19.
Councillors and members of local agencies met at the Council Chambers in Cherbourg on Saturday afternoon.
In a teleconference, Queensland Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young recommended extra care should be taken in Indigenous communities for those suffering with chronic and respiratory diseases as well as people aged 50 years and over.
The Gympie LDMG is also on “Alert” status while the South Burnett LDMG is one grade higher, “Lean Forward”, following the confirmed COVID-19 case in Kingaroy.
