A free workshop to help local landholders identify weeds and manage weed risks will be held at Wondai Town Hall on March 25.

Topics to be covered include:

  • How to identify weeds and where to find identification resources,
  • How to manage weed seed risks in fodder,
  • How to incorporate weed hygiene practices into your on-farm practices, and
  • How to undertake vehicle/machinery clean downs, including a range of cheap and effective options.

The workshop will be held from 9:00am to 3:00pm, and morning tea and lunch will be supplied.

It will be presented by Belinda Callanan, from Toowoomba-based land management consultants, TH9 Outdoor Services.

People wishing to attend have been asked to RSVP to Josh Dyke on 0488-953-844  before 4:00pm on March 23.

The event has been organised by South Burnett Regional Council in conjunction with the Wide Bay Burnett Regional Organisation of Councils and has been funded by the State Government’s “Better Partnerships Program”.
