Two people suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash on the D’Aguilar Highway in Nanango early on Thursday morning.

Paramedics spotted the overturned vehicle, near the intersection with Nanango-Tarong Road, at 12:46am.

One person – a 33-year-old man from Wooloowin – was trapped inside.

Firefighters were called to the scene to cut the man free.

An RACQ LifeFlight helicopter was despatched to the incident just before 1:30am.

The freed man was then flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition with chest, pelvic and leg injuries.

A second man, a 20-year-old from Brighton, was treated for abdominal, leg and head injuries and was transported in a serious but stable condition to Kingaroy Hospital.
