The 135 Army Cadet Unit based at Wondai will be holding an Open Day on February 23 at the 25/49 RQR Barracks in Bramston Street.

There will be displays highlighting all aspects of cadet life, including camouflage techniques, fieldcraft (compass / maps), cadet equipment and uniforms, first aid and communications.

Local and general military history will also be on show.

A cadet information session will be conducted by the commanding officer, Captain (AAC) Andrew Sampson, and senior cadets in the Cadet Lecture Room.

The day will start at 10:00am.

Prospective cadets and their family members – plus anyone just interested in the Australian Army Cadet Corps – are invited to come along.
