Kingaroy SES hopes to sign up a string of new members following an Open Day at the unit’s headquarters on Saturday.

Acting Group Leader Kathy Stewart said the Kingaroy unit currently had about a dozen members but she hoped to double that.

The Open Day featured a height safety display, first aid and CPR awareness activities.

Helping out were members from the Nanango SES unit.

Nanango Group Leader Robyn Baker said the Nanango unit had about 33 members.

“We did a membership drive in October 2018 which increased our numbers and most of them have stayed,” Robyn said.

Anyone interested in joining the Kingaroy SES should drop into a training night, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm on Mondays, at the headquarters in Glendon Street.

Or ring Local Controller Arthur Dawson on 0418-192-815 or Acting Group Leader Kathy Stewart on 0423-699-608.
