Five people were taken to Kingaroy Hospital after a collision involving three vehicles on Kingaroy-Cooyar Road between Tarong and Maidenwell on Monday evening.

A man was later flown from Kingaroy Hospital to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.

The collision occurred on the rise just north of the intersection with Nanango-Tarong Road. It is believed the driver of one vehicle swerved to miss a wallaby.

Paramedics assessed six patients at the scene.

A Nanango police spokesperson said none of the injuries was life-threatening.

A 42-year-old male driver of one of the vehicles was unable to be questioned by police but investigations into the incident are continuing.

This was one of five traffic crashes that Nanango Police attended during the past week.

Police were shocked to find a 14-year-old girl behind the wheel when they pulled over a vehicle they had spotted earlier speeding along Elk Street, Nanango.

They intercepted the vehicle in Drayton Street about 11:45pm on Sunday.

A 13-year-old girl was a passenger in the vehicle.

Police said the driver did not have permission to take the vehicle from her mother and she will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

A pitbike was stolen from underneath a house in Railway Lane, Nanango, between January 19-20.

Investigations are continuing but anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000 or  Nanango Police on (07) 4171-6333.
