The annual “Basket Of Hope” Christmas toy run by local bikers delivered a mini-mountain of gifts to the Salvation Army in Kingaroy on Saturday morning.

The soft toys were donated by members of the public and left at collection points throughout the region.

Businesses in Yarraman, Cooyar, Nanango, Kingaroy, Wooroolin, Wondai, Proston, Murgon, Goomeri and Kilkivan volunteered to receive donations.

The toys were then collected by riders from local and nearby motorbike clubs.

Kingaroy Scouts organised a sausage sizzle outside Mitre 10 in Kingaroy to welcome visiting riders, some of whom travelled from Brisbane, Toowoomba, Miles and Dalby to take part in the run.

The toys were handed over to the Salvos at the Kingaroy Showgrounds.

This is the third year that the “Basket Of Hope” run has been held in the South Burnett.
