Darren Kane set a new lap record at the Kingaroy Speedway’s Christmas meeting last year … he’ll be back in action on Saturday night

December 11, 2019

The last speedway meeting for 2019 will blast off at 4:30pm on Saturday at Kingaroy Showgrounds.

The start of racing has been brought forward because of the large number of nominations the South Burnett Speedway Club has received for the night.

The highlight of the racing program will be the Queensland Super Sedan Title; 29 nominations have been received for this event including Australian champion Mathew Pascoe who will be keen to win his sixth Queensland title (and fourth in a row!).

Also keen to take the title are former champions Wayne Randall, Darren Kane, Matthew Williams and Mick Nicola Snr.

Kingaroy’s own Travis Barron will also be among the action.

The racing program also includes Production Sedans, Round 3 of the Edge Automotive & Performance Street Stock Series, Lightning Sprints, Wingless Sprints and Modlites.

While on-track action is sure to be exciting, young visitors will also be looking forward to a special Christmas visitor who has promised to find time to drop in among his busy festive duties.
