December 9, 2019
A meeting is being held in Proston on Wednesday (December 11) to discuss the possible formation of a mental health peer support group in the town.
The meeting is being organised by community health nurse Kathy Crane.
The idea to form a peer support group follows a free health workshop held in Proston in October led by psychologist Dr Tim Driscoll.
Dr Driscoll’s workshop touched on various mental health issues, including anxiety and depression.
This week’s meeting will be held at the Proston Cultural Centre – the former Proston Railway Station – in Railway Park, Rodney Street from 10:00am.
Morning tea will be provided (but BYO lunch).
