Police are calling for witnesses to a motorbike crash in Kingaroy on November 19 in which a NSW man was seriously injured.

Kevin Lenaghan, from Orange, was riding his distinctive, bright green Kawasaki Vulcan Vaquero – pulling a trailer – on Kingaroy-Barkers Creek Road when the incident occured.

Emergency services were called at 2:20pm and found Mr Lenaghan lying near his bike, which had slid into a tree.

Mr Lenaghan told police a vehicle coming in the opposite direction was halfway across the centreline, forcing him off the road on to the loose shoulder.

The Army veteran suffered two crushed vertebrae, four broken ribs, a punctured lung, broken collarbone, broken arm and leg injuries.

He was placed in intensive care after the crash and has since undergone several surgeries.

Mr Lenaghan described the vehicle that forced him off the road as “a white car”.

“Within seconds there were good Samaritans who helped move the debris off the road and assisted in my care until the ambulance crew arrived,” Mr Lenaghan said.

“Thank you all out at the township of Kingaroy.”

Anyone with information should call Kingaroy Police on (07) 4160-4900 or Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.
