The local fire ban in place in the Toowoomba Regional Council area has been extended.
It will now remain in place until 23:59pm on Friday, December 6.
A QFES spokesperson said heightened fire conditions were perfect for bushfires to ignite and spread quickly.
Local fire bans in the South Burnett, Cherbourg, Gympie and North Burnett local government areas are in place until 23:59pm on Sunday, December 8.
Under a local fire ban all open fires are prohibited and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated areas have been cancelled.
Power tools may be used during a local fire ban however QFES encourages people to use these with extreme care and ensure adequate equipment is available to extinguish any fire which may start.
