SunWater has begun its daily water releases from the beleaguered Paradise Dam

October 7, 2019

Natural Resources Minister Dr Anthony Lynham Water says water releases have now begun from Paradise Dam, near Biggenden.

On Friday, SunWater began releasing about 100 megalitres a day into four watercourses not normally supplied by the dam.

“Irrigators with water access rights already on Elliot River, Mahogany Creek, the Gregory River, and Logging Creek will have access to free water from the dam,” Dr Lynham said.

He said more water may become available, depending on the demand from irrigators.

Other people wanting to access water from Paradise Dam should contact SunWater on 13-15-89 or by email
