The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter flew a man to hospital after he was injured in a dirt bike crash on Sunday.

The rescue helicopter was called to the incident at Manar Park, near Boondooma, just after 12:30pm.

Ambulance paramedics were already on scene when the aeromedical crew arrived.

The rider, aged in his 40s, was treated for a head injury and airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

On Sunday afternoon, firefighters were called to a grass fire in a paddock on Pimpimbudgee Road at Brooklands.

The fire, started by a motor vehicle, was quickly extinguished and the area made safe.
