A medevac helicopter was called to a crash on the New England Highway at Glenaven, 11km north of Crows Nest, on Sunday afternoon.

The crash, which involved two vehicles and a trailer, was reported to emergency services at 1:48pm.

At 3:00pm, a QAS spokesperson said critical care paramedics were treating four people at the incident.

Traffic on the highway was blocked for at least two hours while emergency crews were on the scene with police urging motorists to seek alternative routes.

UPDATE 4:20pm: A QAS spokesperson said two patients, one with chest and abdominal injuries and a second with neck and abdominal injuries, have been transported in a stable condition by road ambulance to Toowoomba Hospital. A third patient declined transport.

UPDATE 4:30pm: The fourth patient, a woman aged in her 50s, was treated at the scene for chest, abdominal and shoulder injuries and was flown in a stable condition to Toowoomba Hospital.

A person has been treated by ambulance paramedics after a two-vehicle collision at Tansey on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the Burnett Highway just after 12:45pm.

A QAS spokesperson said one patient was assessed for neck injuries and transported in a stable condition to Gympie Hospital.
