Vandals Target Police Officer’s Car

Police are investigating an incident in which a vandal targeted an officer’s private vehicle.

On July 21, a trespasser entered the grounds of the Blackbutt Police Station and used a knife or something similar to slash one of the vehicle’s tyres.

Anyone who may have seen anyone in the area near the Blackbutt Police Station between 5:00pm and 8:00pm on July 21 should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.

Entry to the Blackbutt Police Station grounds by anyone other than a police officer is strictly prohibited.

A 22-year-old Eidsvold woman will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on August 26 charged with driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle after police pulled her over in Hart Street, Blackbutt, about 1:30pm on July 14.

No one was injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash on the D’Aguilar Highway on July 19.

Emergency services were called to the incident about 7:20pm which occurred near the Benarkin turn-off.

Police are reviewing dashcam footage.
