Thieves produced a knife during a scuffle with a shop assistant at a Murgon business earlier this month.
Murgon police are investigating the incident, which occurred on July 4.
Between 6:50pm and 7:00pm, the unknown offenders entered the business in Lamb Street, Murgon.
They were spotted stealing various items from shelves.
A scuffle with the shop assistant ensued during which the knife was produced.
Investigations are continuing.

Property
- A 13-year-old Murgon boy is being dealt with under the Youth Justice Act after thieves broke into a house in Armstrong Street, Murgon, about 7:00pm on June 28, by damaging a lock. A set of car keys were stolen and a vehicle driven from the address. It was found later that night in Cherbourg. Investigations are continuing.
- A 12-year-old Cherbourg boy is being dealt with under the Youth Justice Act after an item was stolen from a business in Macalister Street, Murgon, between 1:30pm and 2:05pm on June 29. The boy also allegedly damaged property at the business.
Investigations are continuing into a number of other incidents:
- Between 6:00pm on June 28 and 10:00am the next day would-be thieves used a tool to break into a vehicle at a home in Cobbo Street, Cherbourg.
- Between 5:00pm on June 28 and 8:20pm on June 30, thieves broke into a shed in Nutt Street, Murgon and stole personal items.
- Between midnight on April 2 and 8:30am on July 9, a home was broken into by smashing a window in Smyth Street, Murgon. Items were left strewn about.
- Between 4:15pm on June 5 and 4:15pm in July 9, a trailer was stolen from a business in Mickan Street, Murgon. The thieves damaged a fence to gain entry.
- About 11:05am on July 2, a thief entered a business in Lamb Street, Murgon, removed items from a package and hid them before leaving the store.

- June 30 – A 56-year-old Clontarf man will appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on July 31 charged with drink driving after a roadside breath test on the Bunya Highway at Murgon about noon.
- July 4 – A 41-year-old Tablelands man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 16 charged with drug driving after a roadside test on the Bunya Highway at Murgon about 10:30am.
- July 4 – A 46-year-old Goomboorian man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 16, charged with drug driving after a roadside test on the Bunya Highway at Wondai about 11:50am.
- July 5 – A 44-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 30 after a roadside breath test on the Bunya Highway at Wondai about 7:30am.

Drugs
- A 44-year-old Murgon woman will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 30 charged with failing to properly dispose of syringe and needle after police stopped and searched her in Lamb Street, Murgon, about 8:00pm on June 30.
- A 17-year-old boy is being dealt with under the Youth Justice Act after police allegedly found him in possession of dangerous drugs in Gore Street, Murgon, about 9:30pm on June 30.
- A 20-year-old Goomeri man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 30 charged with possessing dangerous drugs and drug utensils after police searched a house in McLucas Street, Murgon, about 12:15pm on July 3.
- A 26-year-old Murgon man and a 23-year-old Murgon woman will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 30, charged with possessing drug utensils after police searched a house in Cobb Street, Murgon, about 11:10am on July 3.
- A 39-year-old Murgon man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 30, charged with possessing drug utensils and failing to properly dispose of needle and syringe after police searched a house in Jefferies Street, Murgon, about noon on July 3.

Police officers from Murgon, Cherbourg and Wondai responded to a variety of incidents between June 28 and July 5 including drug, traffic and property offences. They also attended 13 calls related to domestic violence incidents, issued 13 infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performed 251 roadside breath tests.
