Fire investigators are examining the cause of a blaze which badly damaged a house in Sorensen Street, Kingaroy, in the early hours of Monday morning.
A woman, the sole occupant of the house, was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics for smoke inhalation and was then transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.
A QFES spokesperson said three urban fire crews were called to the blaze about 2:40am.
Flames could be seen coming from the lowset building when they arrived with about half the building involved in fire.
The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes.
Mopping up and dampening down work then began and all firefighters had left the scene by 4:30am.
Fire investigators returned to the scene on Monday morning to determine how the fire started.
