Fallen power lines have been blamed for a blackout which affected almost 1600 Ergon Energy customers in the Gympie Regional Council area for more than seven hours on Tuesday morning.
Power was cut just after 5:00am and restored at 12:35pm.
Residents and businesses in the Woolooga, Lower Wonga, Widgee, Glastonbury and Bells Bridge areas were affected.
Meanwhile, planned maintenance on the Ergon network cut power to just over 100 homes in the Byee, Marshlands, Hivesville and Mondure areas on Tuesday morning.
The power went off at 9:00am and was due to be restored at 2:00pm.
