The South Burnett Race Club will be holding its traditional Anzac Day Race Meeting at the Wondai Racecourse in Baynes Street, Wondai on Thursday, April 25.

The meeting is the 46th Anzac Day meeting held at the course, and proceeds will go to aid Legacy.

The Anzac Day meeting is always one of the biggest meetings the Race Club holds each year.

This year promises to be no exception, with all marquee seating booked out and only a limited number of reserved tables still available.

As usual, the meeting will feature an on-course TAB, live telecasts of interstate races, an undercover betting ring, barbecue and bar.

The traditional Fashions On The Field competition will have a “Poppies and Lace” theme, and guests who dress to it can be in the running for prizes.

Gates will open at the track at 11:30am; the bar will open at 1:00pm; and the first race will leave the barriers at 2:05pm.

This year’s Anzac Day race meeting will feature five races and is being sponsored by Kingaroy RSL, Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington, the Wondai RSL Sub Branch and the Wondai Diggers Club.
