A driver escaped injury when a loaded B-Double cattle truck overturned on the D’Aguilar Highway between Yarraman and Blackbutt on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were called to scene at 11:44am, about 5km out of Yarraman near the Cooyar Creek Bridge.

QAS paramedics attended but no injuries were reported.

A police spokesman confirmed the driver was out of the truck and did not appear to be hurt.

However, a number of cattle were killed in the crash and others had to be euthanased at the scene.

The truck was travelling towards Blackbutt at the time of the rollover.

At 2:00pm, the incident was still causing significant delays to traffic on the highway.

The cattle truck tipped on its side at the bottom of a hill heading towards the Cooyar Creek Bridge
