Nanango and District Kindergarten have been cooking up a storm thanks to a new barbecue sponsored by Heritage Bank Nanango.

The barbecue and stand were bought through the Nanango Heritage Bank Community Grants round and have allowed the kindy to cook for social events as well as fundraising events that help support the kindy.

“Previously we had to borrow a barbecue if we wanted to do something like a sausage sizzle, so it’s really great that we now have our own,” Nanango Kindy president Hayley Adams said.

“It’s made it a lot easier.

“The Nanango Heritage Bank have been great supporters of the kindergarten for many years.”

Nanango Kindergarten is for children aged three to five.

There are subsidies available for qualifying families.

  • For more information, call (07) 4163-1551 or drop into the kindy at 34 Gipps Street, Nanango, during the school term.
