A mini show-and-shine was held outside the Grand Hotel in Wooroolin on Saturday as a fundraiser for the Endeavour Foundation and to raise awareness about this year’s Great Endeavour Rally.

The Endeavour Day attracted eight rally cars – from as far away as Brisbane – as well as 12 motorbikes from a local club.

Prizes were distributed to the top three entrants in each class.

Endeavour Rally stalwart Les Porter, from Kingaroy, had his famous “Flying Peanut” parked in prime position.

Les has taken part in 20 rallies and has been an avid fundraiser for the Endeavour Foundation.

In conjunction with the Grand Hotel, a “Jag The Joker” competition is being run as a fundraiser for Endeavour.

Patrons can buy tickets in a raffle and the winner gets to draw a card.

If it’s the joker, they will win $1000 but if not, another raffle will be held and the prize will jackpot by $50 a week until someone draws the lucky card.

The 2019 Great Endeavour Rally will begin in Bundaberg on July 26 and will reach Townsville on August 3 after travelling via the Gulf of Carpentaria.
