Eleven participants took part in the Barambah Bowhunters & Field Archers Association handicap shoot last Sunday at their field in South Nanango.

Participants used Yellow and Red Ranges, as per Australian Bowhunting Association rules.

Winners were:

  • Men’s Bowhunter Unlimited Compound – Mathew Wakefield (698)
  • Junior Bowhunter Unlimited Compound – Tyson Trace (760)
  • Cubs Freestyle Unlimited Compound – Nayte Trace (604)
  • Women’s Traditional Recurve – Johann Simpson (454)
  • Men’s Traditional Recurve – Joe Ansell (453)

The club’s next handicap shoot will be held on March 31.

The association is also holding Fun Days – open to the public – from 8:30am to noon on March 10 and April 14 for people who are interested in learning more about archery.

The turn-off to access the club’s grounds is just past Virgil’s Artisan Village on the D’Aguilar Highway at South Nanango.
