Drought Envoy Barnaby Joyce

December 7, 2018

The Federal Government’s “Special Envoy For Drought Assistance and Recovery”, former National Party leader and Deputy PM Barnaby Joyce, will be visiting Murgon later this month.

Mr Joyce and Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien will be at Murgon Town Hall from 2:30pm to 4:30pm on Tuesday, December 18, to discuss the impact of the drought on business and the local community.

Local residents and businesspeople have been invited to attend.

The forum is free but people intending to go have been asked to RSVP to BIEDO on 0400-695-456 or by email before December 13.

Mr Joyce was appointed Special Envoy by Prime Minister Scott Morrison in August.

His role is to provide advice to the PM about the impact of relief efforts, including the performance of government service delivery, and provide advice about proposals raised by the community.
