Thieves have stolen a large quantity of copper wire from the Tarong Power Station complex.

A Nanango police spokesman said that at some time between the afternoon of November 23 and the morning on November 27, the offenders gained access to the grounds of the power station via the Nanango State Forestry.

Some breaking equipment was left at the scene and forensic examinations are underway.

A white Isuzu D-Max has been identified as a vehicle of interest.

Squatters are believed to have taken over a house in Grey Street, Nanango, between November 20-27.

They left behind a folding table which does not belong to the victim.

Police are looking for the owner of a bicycle found in the vicinity of Hawthorne Street, Nanango, and handed in to Nanango Police on Friday.

A yellow water pump was stolen from a South Nanango residence between November 21-30.
