At 11:00am Monday:

Firefighters remain at the scene of a vegetation fire burning near Spelling Gully Road at Googa Creek, south of Blackbutt.

This fire broke out about 2:00pm on Sunday and nine fire crews were called to the incident during the afternoon.

Firefighters are working to contain the fire but a QFES spokesperson said it was posing no threat to property at this time.

Surrounding areas may be affected by smoke.

Urban and rural fire crews were called to a grass fire on the outskirts of Nanango about 1:00pm on Sunday afternoon.

An area of about three acres was burnt but the fire was quickly contained.

The fire danger rating for the South Burnett area remains VERY HIGH for the next four days with conditions tipped to be particularly severe on Wednesday.
