Fundraising has begun for The Ration Shed’s 2019 Reconciliation Fun Run from Murgon to Cherbourg.

The annual event – which is heading into its sixth year – will be held on May 19, 2019.

Some of the objectives of the Fun Run include promoting reconciliation, building bridges between communities, having fun, getting to know neighbours, raising funds for the Ration Shed Museum, making new friends and getting fit and healthy.

Organisers are always looking for sponsors to help out with “running” costs (contact The Ration Shed if your business can help …) but are also busily raising funds themselves.

Barambah Pottery pieces are being raffled as part of the effort.

The first piece was a bowl by Cherbourg artist Robert “Rocko” Langton, and the lucky winner – whose ticket was drawn on Wednesday – was Yvonne Pawlik.

Tickets are now on sale for The Ration Shed’s second piece of Barambah Pottery, a vase (also the work of Rocko).

They can be bought for $5 at The Ration Shed in Cherbourg.
