The recent storms in the South Burnett have eased pressure for Boondooma Dam irrigators, with water levels taking a sharp rise on Saturday.

At 10:00am on Monday morning, Boondooma Dam was at 40.8 per cent, compared with 37.69 per cent on October 18 and 36.66 per cent on July 23.

Medium priority water allocations by SunWater for irrigators on the Boyne River & Tarong Water Scheme have been increased to 46 per cent for one month (previously 24 per cent for one month).

This is still well down on the 100 per cent available in 2017-18.

Medium Priority water allocations are mainly used for agricultural production.
