Fire badly damaged a single-story timber home in Margaret Street, Yarraman, on Saturday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the residence, located just down from the bowls club, about 11:00am.
The house was well alight when firefighters arrived.
The three crews attending the blaze brought the flames under control in less than 30 minutes but remained on site mopping up until about 1:50pm.
There are no suspicious circumstances.
