Pete Lewis … teaching people how to spread their message truthfully and effectively

September 14, 2018

Former ABC reporter and producer Pete Lewis shared some of the tips he’s picked up over 40 years of journalism with an eager bunch of South and North Burnett residents this week.

The workshop, held at the Kingaroy TAFE campus, attracted a mix of local businesspeople and representatives from community groups.

It was organised by the Red Earth Community Foundation.

Pete shared ideas about the best ways to prepare and pitch a story so it reaches the most people, on social media and via more traditional media channels.

He also shared examples of some very successful, and some not-so-successful, social media campaigns.

The Communication Workshop attracted about 25 people during the day, as well as some new faces who joined in at the dinner presentation.
