Gympie Mayor Mick Curran and South Burnett Mayor Keith Campbell shake hands at the official opening of the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail in September last year

September 13, 2018

Gympie Regional Council is inviting feedback from residents and businesses in Goomeri, Kilkivan and nearby areas about the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail.

The Rail Trail was opened in 2017 by the Gympie and South Burnett councils, with funding provided by the State Government.

GRC allocated $130,000 more funding in the 2018-19 financial year to improve the trail, based on feedback informally provided by community and recreational users.

The Council would now like to hear feedback about these improvements and the usability, economic and tourism benefits of the Trail.

Comments can be made online or download a form, which can be printed out and submitted at Council’s Planning and Development office at 29 Channon Street, Gympie.

Council will be accepting feedback from September 10 to September 30.

For more information, call the Planning and Development Team on 1300-307-800.
