Firefighters have contained a grass fire burning beside Izzards Road at South Nanango.
QFES were called to the blaze, near the corner of Tom Smith Drive, just after 11:00am on Thursday.
A QFES spokesman said eight crews – a mix of urban and rural brigades – worked to contain the fire.
Heavy smoke blanketed sections of Izzards Road.
They left the scene just before 1:00pm, handing control back to the property owner.
About five acres were burned.
