The Toowoomba Tigers only managed one goal in their match-up with the South Burnett Saints AFL team in Kingaroy on Saturday.

The Saints demolished the Tigers by 179 points, and the margin could have been even larger if more of the one-pointers had been on target.

The final score was 28-23 (191) to 1-6 (12).

Joseph Amery led the way for the South Burnett with 10 goals.

Other goal kickers were, Jordan Pressnell (5), Keegan Wright (3), Ben Pressnell (3), Nathan Trace (2), Mitchell Francis (2), Kyall Shepherd, Kieran Askin and Adam Bowater.

The Saints are still holding down 5th place on the ladder with 28 points.

Also on 28 points – but ahead on for / against – are Goondiwindi and Warwick.

The South Burnett men have a day off with a bye next weekend, but will be back in action at Lyle Vidler Oval against sixth-placegetters Coolaroo on August 4.
