Goodger campdrafter Mark Buttsworth has pocketed the $25,000 first prize at the inaugural Campdraft Super Series, held at the Warwick Showgrounds on the weekend.

The veteran competitor took the top prize on board “Yulgilbar Agile Playgirl” – a mare he trained – and also won the highest cutout prize on “One Stylish Pepto”.

At the end of the two-day event, which attracted more than 200 competitors, Mark took home a total of $40,000 in prize money.

The aim of the Super Series is to gather the best seasoned horses and riders into the one competition.

Following the success of this weekend’s event in Warwick, the aim is to hold three events next year, potentially making available more than half a million dollars in prize money.

The Warwick event, which was streamed live, consisted of two full rounds with the 30 highest aggregated scorers advancing into the final.

Prize money of $32,000 was available to be earned in each round, paid to 15th place, plus a $2000 cut out prize.

The aggregate cut out winner also took home $5000 cash.
