The Saints, sitting in equal second spot on the ladder, were ahead at every change, running out winners 17.13 (115) to 12.7 (79).

The Tigers enjoyed a strong second quarter, outkicking the visitors, and were just five points behind at half-time.

But South Burnett rallied after the break and enjoyed a particularly strong last quarter.

Saints’ goals were kicked by Joseph Amery (4), Mitchell Francis (3), Lloyd Slater (3), Brad Pressnell (2), Kieran Askin (2), Nathan Trace, Keegan Wright and Ben Pressnell.

The Saints’ next game will be back in Kingaroy on Saturday, where they will face the Chinchilla Suns, who are yet to record a win this season.
