Fire crews were called to a grass fire burning near Goomeri on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire, which broke out about 3:30pm, is burning near Goomeri West Road, in the vicinity of Goomeribong and Silburn roads.
At 4:45pm, a QFES spokesperson said the fire was posing no threat to property at this time.
Firefighters will be backburning throughout the evening to contain the blaze.
Nearby residents may be affected by a smoke haze this evening and overnight.
