Gympie detectives are continuing to investigate after a 31-year-old man turned up at Gympie Hospital on April 17 with a gunshot wound.
As part of this investigation detectives yesterday executed a search warrant at a Rocks Road, Pie Creek address east of Widgee.
Three men were arrested and property including mobile phones, ammunition and drugs alleged to be methylamphetamines and steroids, as well as drug paraphernalia, were seized.
A 54-year-old man was charged with drug possession, possession of a drug utensil, possession of property suspected of having been used in a drug offence and possession of explosives (ammunition).
A 33-year-old man was charged with drug possession and possession of a drug utensil.
A 20-year-old local man was charged with possession of a drug utensil.
All three are due to appear in the Gympie Magistrates Court on May 21.
Police have not received a complaint in relation to the shooting incident, however Gympie and Brisbane detectives are continuing their investigations.
