South Burnett Saints launched their 2018 season in style with a strong win over Coolaroo in Kingaroy on Saturday.
The home team was ahead at every change and eventually romped home 18.11-119 to 9.13-67.
Saints’ goals were kicked by Joseph Amery (3), Ty Snow (3), Adam Bowater (3), Nathan Trace (3), Jordan Pressnell (2), Keegan Wright, Kyall Shepherd, Mitchell Francis and Troy Miller.
Unfortunately, the earlier game on the day – between South Burnett Saints’ Women and Coolaroo Women – was called off when Coolaroo could not field a team.
This weekend, the Saints Women will play the South Toowoomba Bombers at Heritage Oval in Toowoomba at 1:30pm.
Saints Men will take on the Bombers at the same venue from 3:30pm.
