South Burnett beach volleyball star Taliqua Clancy will hit the sand at 3:00pm on Friday for her first match during the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
The Aussie Olympian and her on-court partner Mariafe Artacho del Solar will take on Cyprus pair Mariota Angelopoulou and Manolina Konstantinou in a preliminary Pool A game at Coolangatta beach.
Channel 7 is expected to have live coverage of the match.

UPDATE: Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar made short work of their Cypriot opponents, winning 2-0.
They followed this up with wins against Grenada on Saturday and Scotland on Sunday.
The pair has now secured a berth in the quarter finals, which will be played on Tuesday (April 10).
