The State Government has announced a new $100,000 funding opportunity that will help more Queensland communities celebrate National Reconciliation Week (May 27 – June 3).

Deputy Premier Jackie Trad launched the Celebrating Reconciliation Small Grants Program on Friday.

“Grassroots organisations across Queensland can apply to share in $100,000 worth of grants for local National Reconciliation Week celebrations,” Ms Trad said.

“This year’s theme for National Reconciliation Week, ‘Don’t Keep History a Mystery’, encourages everyone to join the reconciliation journey by building respectful relationships, learning more about and growing broader acceptance of our shared history.”

Grants of up to $2500 are available for grassroots events for National Reconciliation Week across Queensland.

Applications close on Friday, April 13.
