South Burnett farmers with over 2000 litres of used oil can have it collected and disposed of for free by waste removal company J.J. Richards and Sons.

The 85-year-old Australian family business provides waste collection services for the South Burnett Regional Council.

On Monday, the company announced that it is now working in partnership with Southern Oil Refineries to provide a used oil recycling service.

The new service will reduce the reliance on burning oil as the only disposal option.

The company says it has developed a specialised oil collection fleet and aggregation facilities.

These are now able to service farming communities in the South Burnett, Western Downs, Toowoomba, Southern Downs, Balonne, Goondiwindi and Lockyer Valley council areas.

To arrange free waste oil collection, phone J.J. Richards on 0458-123-450.
