A 12-month-old bull calf from the RSVP Droughtmasters Windera cattle stud was sashed Grand Champion Exhibit at the 33rd annual Droughtmaster Futurity Show held at Gatton Showgrounds on Saturday.

‘RSVP Nevada’ will now be heading to Rockhampton to compete in Beef 2018 (May 6-12); it was also awarded Champion Bull Calf.

It is the third time the Windera stud has taken out the Grand Champion ribbon at the Futurity.

This year’s event was judged by Mac and Gayle Shann, from ‘Cantaur Park’ at Clermont, who were kept busy with 163 entries.

Droughtmaster Australia CEO Neil Donaldson said that despite the hot and humid conditions on the day, the atmosphere at the Futurity was fantastic with a record crowd of spectators.
