Agents yarded 700 in Murgon on Tuesday, January 30 for the fortnightly liveweight sale, 50 more than the year’s first sale on January 16.
However, the rising Australian dollar and dry conditions in many areas of the state saw prices cheaper across the board.
Cattle were drawn from Mundubbera, Gayndah, Mt Perry, Nanango, Kingaroy, Kilkivan and the Murgon district.
