Kingaroy singer Tom Curtain has been making a big impression on the country charts

November 22, 2017

Former Kingaroy boy Tom Curtain has released his third country music album to great acclaim, immediately hitting the No 1 spot on the iTunes country charts.

“Territory Time” was released on November 14 and debuted the same day at No 1 on the iTunes Country Album Chart and at No 12 on the iTunes Album Chart (all genres).

Tom is now based at Katherine in the Northern Territory and his new album reflects this life, ie. running the Katherine Outback Experience tourist attraction and training dogs and horses.

“This album is a collection of stories I have experienced first-hand or heard while working in the outback over the past decade,” he said.

“It celebrates the different way of life in the Top End. It includes stories of loss, hard work and never giving up, together with a few light-hearted fun songs.”

Tom is about to take the Katherine Outback Experience show – and his new album – on tour through Western Australia from November to February.

“I’m really looking forward to hitting the road and touring the Territory Time album throughout regional WA, to towns and communities who wouldn’t usually get these sorts of events visiting their doorstep,” he said.

“People love the show because it’s raw and real. There are no flashing lights or production sets. We provide real horse breaking and working dog demonstrations – something the general public wouldn’t usually see.”
