A 64-year-old man suffered abdominal and lower back injuries in a farming accident near Nanango on Thursday afternoon.

A LifeFlight spokesperson said it was believed the man’s son was reversing a tractor when he accidentally hit his father.

The man was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics and then taken to Kingaroy Hospital.

He was airlifted by the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight helicopter to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
