A special social bike ride is being organised up and down the D’Aguilar Range to coincide with Blackbutt’s Avocado Festival on September 9.

The 44km ride will start in Linville at 8:00am and then head up the range (listen out for the bell birds).

When the cyclists roll into Blackbutt they’ll be able to take part in all the great avocado activities at the festival.

Then it will be back on the bikes for an easier ride back down the range, or more adventurous mountain bikers could  make a detour to descend by Rohlmann’s Track.

Organisers say the ride is suitable for mountain bikes and hybrids, and E-Bikes are welcome.

Cost is $15, to cover insurance and other administration costs.
